Title: The Time is Now: Why Public Infrastructure Projects will Rapidly Shift From 2D to 3D

Description:

Session Code: BP29

Unlike commercial construction, which has been undergoing a digital transformation for the past decade and evolving rapidly from 3D BIM to 5D digital twin-based workflows, the public sector has passively remained in a 2D world. In this session, you'll learn how DOTs, contractors and engineers are working together to accelerate digital transformation to ensure influx in government funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) can be effectively utilized to develop sustainable infrastructure.
Learning Objectives:

  1. What the US Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is doing to drive use of advanced digital construction transformation technologies
  2. How some DOTs are leading the way in successfully modeling 'digital project delivery'
  3. How contractors and engineers are working with DOTS

Type: CONEXPO-CON/AGG
