Matthew Stanley
Matt Stanley was born and raised in Danbury, CT. Matt has been working in the asphalt industry since he was just 12 years old. From working summers with his father and 3 brothers, to coming on full-time at 19 years old after his time at Central Connecticut State University perusing a Construction Management degree.
Currently, Matt serves as a paving operator/ foreman at his family's business, American Pavement Specialists. Alongside working in the field every day, Matt has always had a natural passion for the branding/marketing world. Through years of putting out high end social media content, APS, has developed the largest social media following in the paving industry with strong followings on Instagram, TikTok, and their YouTube channel. APS are currently brand ambassadors for John Deere and the Wirtgen Group.
In late 2019, Matt founded his very own lifestyle brand, authentically named, Raised On Blacktop. ROB's merchandise quickly gained popularity throughout the entire industry leading to an official collaboration with the iconic paving manufacturer, LeeBoy. There are now Raised On Blacktop Special Edition pavers sold throughout the US and Canada.
