Mark Horton

Mark Horton is a graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a BS in Metallurgical Engineering and MS in Materials Science and Engineering. With over 10 years of mining experience, his career has spanned academic research, technical engineering support, quality control, and operations management.

Over his tenure, Mark has modeled multiple complex systems to provide accurate predictive data for day-to-day operational decisions. These models have become bridges from the technical minutia to financial planning. Mark is currently the Rapid City Lime Plant Manager for Pete Lien and Sons
