Buzz Powell PE

Buzz earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at Auburn University with an emphasis in pavements and geomaterials. He worked for 12 years with the Alabama DOT and 2 years in the private sector before becoming NCAT's first Test Track Manager in 1999. Hundreds of test sections have been built at the NCAT Pavement Test Track in the practical study of mix/materials, structural pavement design, and pavement preservation. He is now an NCAT Associate Director and an Auburn University Research Professor.
