Glen Olson MBA

Glen Olson is the General Sales Manager Rental for The Cat Rental Store at Ohio Cat as of April 1, 2022. Previously he served as Rental Strategic Account Manager for over seven years. He was one of the first persons named to that position in the North American dealer network. In that role, Glen was responsible for the sales management aspect of in-territory strategic accounts and Caterpillar national rental accounts for Ohio Cat. Glen managed a team of strategic account rental representatives, inside rental sales representatives, and a strategic accounts coordinator. He worked closely with Ohio Cat's rental sales managers and rental representatives to grow revenue in these segments, and partnered with the Cat National Rental Account team to identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with in-territory national rental account customers, as well as those transient accounts working in Ohio Cat's territory. Glen frequently consults with other Cat Rental Store dealers in regard to establishing their own strategic rental account program.

Prior to taking on that role, Glen held a variety of sales management and operations management positions including General Construction Sales Manager, Rental Sales Manager, Operations Manager, Rental Branch Manager, and Rental Representative. He started his career in the equipment rental industry at Ibex, the former contractors equipment division of Portman Equipment Co., and has worked at United Rentals, RSC, and Holt Rental Services.

He holds a BS in Journalism from Bowling Green State University, and earned an MBA with a Marketing Graduate Certificate from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati in April, 2020, where he previously earned a Graduate Certificate in Business Foundations.

Glen has presented at several Caterpillar rental meetings, including the Cat Rental Summit in Atlanta, GA in February, 2016, and at the Cat National Rental Accounts Meeting held in Denver, CO each of the past two years. Glen also serves on the Caterpillar national rental accounts dealer advisory group. In his spare time, he volunteers for the Milford Youth Baseball Association, ICRC-TV, and the Gamma Zeta Alumni Association of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity at BGSU.
