Martha Kapitanov

Martha C. Kapitanov is a member of the Work Zone Management Team in the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Transportation Operations. Ms. Kapitanov has worked for FHWA for over 20 years, and in her current capacity, she provides leadership and guidance to the development and implementation of effective work zone management practices and innovations on a national level. Martha is the FHWA lead for the commercial motor vehicle safety in work zone initiative and the work zone safety strategic objectives initiative. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Puerto Rico.
