President of Dirt World

Jason Richmond serves as the President of Dirt World, a BuildWitt business unit dedicated to uniting the infrastructure industry around leadership, workforce development, and building best-in-class businesses. He leads the Dirt World, anchored by the Ariat Dirt World Summit and supported by workshops and experiences, as well as an online leadership community. His focus is on bringing leaders together, strengthening community, expanding partnerships, and driving growth across events, education, and industry influence.

Jason has served at BuildWitt in several roles to support the mission to “make the Dirt World a better place.” He joined the company in January 2022 after a twenty-five-year career at Irving Materials, Inc. (imi), a Midwest-based materials and construction company. His work at imi included time on grading and paving crews, estimating, project management, and leading marketing and business development. These experiences gave him a deep, ground-level understanding of the industry and the people who build it.

A fourth-generation road builder, Jason is committed to developing the next generation of leaders. He is passionate about helping companies create environments where people want to work, building leaders at every level, and strengthening the culture of the Dirt World. His work centers on uniting the industry, telling its stories, and helping people reach their potential.
